Binibining Pilipinas is back in action! The most prestigious pageant in the Philippines has been on a hiatus for the past year due to the pandemic, but it is back and better than ever! On Friday, June 18th the Binibining Pilipinas 2021 Swimsuit Presentation was held at the Novotel Manila Araneta City Hotel & Resort.
The show began with a quick presentation of the 2019 Binibini Queens: Bb. Pilipinas Universe – Gazini Ganados, Bb. Pilipinas Grand International – Maria Andrea (Aya) Abesamis, Bb. Pilipinas Globe – Leren Bautista, Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental – Emma Mary Tiglao, and Bb. Pilipinas International – Bea Patricia (Patch) Magtanong.
After the 2019 Queens were introduced, a special solo presentation for Samantha Bernardo – Miss Grand Philippines 2020 and Miss Grand International 2020 1st runner-up – was held. Samantha graced the Novotel Manila Araneta City poolside with her “granada walk” wearing a beautiful creation, which was designed to look like a butterfly. I absolutely loved this look as well as the Domz Ramos swimwear all of the contestants were wearing.
Without further ado, let’s get into my favorites for the Bb. Pilipinas 2021 Swimsuit Presentation.
Bb. 06 Shanon Tampon from Caloocan
Shanon reminds me so much of the beauty queens from Latin America. Her catwalk and connection with the camera are things only the best can truly master, and she is one of them.
Bb. 07 Meiji Cruz from Valenzuela
The first thing I said when I saw her was, “WOW!” She knows how to capture your attention and she does it with ease. Meiji is definitely a strong contender for one of the titles.
Bb. 10 Maureen Montagne from Batangas
This pageant veteran is taking all the tips and tricks she has learned throughout her years of pageantry and is putting it all out on the line in this competition. Her walk, gaze, and overall presence cannot be ignored. Keep an eye on Maureen because she is hungry for a crown.
Bb. 12 Cinderella Faye Obenita from Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental
You do not always need a powerful strut to capture attention and Cinderella proved just that. Her walk did not exude the classic power we are used to seeing in pasarelas, but her regal quality was all the power she needed. This made me so in awe with her.
Bb. 14 Justine Felizarta from Davao Del Sur
Justine’s performance can be summed up into one word – FIERCE! She is a Queen and she knows it!
Bb. 15 Karen Laurrie Mendoza from Iloilo
Karen is so stunning! Her pasarela already looks to be international level ready. I would not be at all surprised to see her capture a crown.
Bb. 17 Hannah Arnold from Masbate
Hannah is somehow cute and sultry at the same time, and I love it! I can definitely see why she is a crowd favorite.
Bb. 19 Gabrielle Basiano from Borongan, Eastern Samar
I have had my eye on Gabrielle since the candidates for Bb. Pilipinas was originally announced due her striking, queen-like quality. With high expectations being placed upon Gabrielle, she is certainly not letting that pressure get the best of her because she did not disappoint any of us with her performance.
Bb. 21 Carina Cariño from La Union
When I look at Carina, I immediately think “Miss International.” Her aura and overall performance reminds me so much of MIO that it makes it very easy for me to picture her on the Miss International stage wearing the sash that says ‘Philippines.’
Bb. 24 Francesca Taruc from Angeles City, Pampanga
I would describe Francesca and her performance as timeless. Her beauty, walk, and soft yet powerful energy is something that will never go out of style. Again, another Queen that I could easily see competing on the international level.
Bb. 25 Honey Grace Cartasano from Rizal
Let me just say that I love her hair! Honey’s short hair compliments her fierce and edgy look, which results in a very high fashion woman. Do not be surprised to see this lady soar to the top of the competition because she is already on her way there.
