Last night (Monday, April 29, 2019) the Miss USA 2019 preliminary competition was held where all 51 contestants graced the stage in their swimsuits and evening gowns. Before I say who the standouts are I want to mention that there were no bad performances from any of the girls. There are also some girls who did not make it into the standout list for me due to other girls bringing more to the table. For example, Georgia and New Jersey are two of the girls who I didn’t see as standouts of the night which, to me, is pretty shocking given the fact that they are a heavy favorite for the crown. I felt like Georgia and New Jersey were holding back a little bit which made them not stick out from the rest. I was also pleasantly surprised with the performances of Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, and Vermont.
